The Orion Protocol
Gary Tigerman
(Reviewer - D. H. BROWN)

2003 William Morrow
ISBN: 0380976706

A journalist receives a disk containing irrefutable data that there's intelligent life on Mars.

Now, only weeks from the deployment of a space-based defense shield, who will it really protect?

Angela Browning is ambitious & does her research. The photos on the disk were taken decades before by the Mars Observer probe & are of ancient structures. Why was this information suppressed & by whom?

In her investigation she meets Jake Deaver, the commander of the last Apollo mission to the moon, & together they grapple with the shadows in the corridors of power, as they must decide if uncovering the truth is worth the cost, perhaps of everyone on the face of the Earth.

Reviewer - D. H. BROWN writes:

Gary Tigerman has looked about our world, gathered threads, & woven into whole cloth a story of “might be.” UFO sightings, faces & structures on Mars, an aborted space program, a space-based defense system of the Reagan era, pyramids in Egypt, hieroglyphs from the Mayan civilization ... it's all here. & by the time you finish The Orion Protocol you'll find yourself wondering what if the “might bes” are true?

Secrets & lies run through the fabric & lives of the very real characters who people this world in our near present. What if truth lies just under the surface of our everyday lives? What if we are not alone? What if we're not who we've been told we are? The ‘what if's’ is what makes The Orion Protocol such an exciting & thought-provoking read.

With every page, with every new revelation, with every slap of the weft of the loom weaving this story together, a little chime of resonances goes off in the back of your mind. What if it's all true? & everything we know is a lie.

How far will the major powers of the Earth go to “protect” us from the truth? & if it is all true, how much do we really want to know?

I found myself mesmerized by the science & the breadth of the conspiracy in this very real “might be” novel.

You will definitely get your money's worth! Along with Whitley Strieber's Communion & Jim Marrs' Rule by Secrecy, The Orion Protocol has found a permanent home within my library.

Extremely well done! I look forward to Gary Tigerman's second book.
