The Delphinus Chronicles
R. G. Roane
(Reviewer - D. H. BROWN)

2002 Cherry Hill Publishing
ISBN: 0972329803

In 1641 a Spanish galleon was shipwrecked off the treacherous Abrojos Reef in the Caribbean Sea. There grew a legend of how a school of dolphins came to the aid of the drowning souls, saving 190 from their watery graves.

Centuries later, it was no surprise when Simon, the world's most powerful supercomputer, successfully learned to communicate with humans after being retired to tiny Cabrillo University in San Diego. Ross Erricson & his misfit band of graduate students thought they had done their homework well, anticipating just about every possible outcome of their experiment with Simon, except they forgot that humans are not the only intelligent species inhabiting Southern California.

Sr. Staff Reviewer D. H. BROWN writes:

What an engaging read! What a memorable subject! I am truly impressed. The Delphinus Chronicles grabs you by the short hairs & drags you headlong into suppositions about our world that are both new & truly exciting. There are many times when I find myself thoroughly disappointed by authors' first efforts & even though I know from the depth of my own reading experience that with patience, I will be rewarded, if an author continues his writing career.

Mr. Roane has produced what, in my estimation & with proper acknowledgement, will become a classic. I devoured The Delphinus Chronicles at one sitting, I could not put it down! I had to know more. I found it deeply absorbing & fun, all in the same read.

As the flyleaf says: “be careful what you ask...for you may not like the answer.”

I really liked this book, & for a first effort give it my rare 4 teapots.

Now available Unabridged on Audio Cassette or Audio CD.

R. G. Roane emerged from the world of top secret government communications to write his first book. He denies any direct knowledge of any facts as described in The Delphinus Chronicles, however, his unique career as a classified encryption system designer & secure communication consultant for the U.S. Navy, has provided a rare & authentic perspective.
