Book Cover

Edek Fallon, born with a Shaman's seal on his wrist, lives an Astral Guard officer's life, never thinking about the chants his father taught him, until they start to come true.

In the Shaman's home at the edge of the desert, young Edek Fallon overhears a stranger & his father talking. No one comes to the Shaman's home tucked away between the city's inner & out walls, beyond the clinic & the space holding twin shrines to bless everyone who passes.

What they are talking about takes a deadly turn when outside the house sudden threatening voices are raised. Edek's father orders him to go with the stranger who would be his protector now.

Senior Staff Reviewer D. H. BROWN writes:

Sometime ago I was offered the opportunity to read Nina M. Osier's Silent Service. The first offering was for an ebook & I, like Rebecca, spend so much time at my monitor I have not developed an enjoyment of reading books on it. So I took a pass.

A short time later the book was offered as a POD from www.booksonthenet.com & I said sure, send a copy & I'll give it a try. I did & my review said I really hoped that this author would find a way to have her voice heard in the mainstream of the science fiction genre.

Well, lo & behold, in the mail one day with an enclosed letter to David & Rebecca, Nina M. Osier wrote: “I'm accepting your kind invitation to send another book, listed for sale at Amazon. I hope you'll find it worthy of a review.”

I really can't describe how Nina M. Osier writes a book. You have to read it to understand how she does it & even then you won't understand it. You'll just get done & say. "Oooh, what a good book!"

Intending no insult to the author all I can say is that Interphase is somewhat childlike. It's concepts are simple; with vibrations of the complex. Her stories have a beginning, a middle & an end, & when you get done you really feel like you've been in another place & another time. You remember the characters. You like them! Even the ones you're not supposed to!

If you like reading new authors, hearing new voices in this marvelous science fiction genre, go buy a copy of Nina M. Osier's Interphase. You will enjoy it, & you will look for her name again.
