The Chronicles Of Rafe and Askana. Across a mysterious rift in the space-time continuum exists a world called Naruihm on which is Morevi, a landlocked kingdom. The First Queen, Askana Moldarin, won the Throne of a Thousand Suns after a bloody rebellion.
Hidden traitors are already at work destroying everything that Askana has won & she must strike a deal with the devil in the form of Rafe Rafton, a privateer captain of the Defiant from another place & another time.
Together Rafe & Askana set out on an epic adventure spanning the worlds of Naruihm & King Henry VIII's swashbuckling England.
Associate Student Reviewer Karrie G. writes:
One moment I was lying comfortably on my bed, reading a book I was planning to review. The next I was sailing the high seas in the Defiant, on a journey to explore the New World, led by arrogant & insufferable Captain Rafe Rafton.
When Spanish warships surround the Defiant, a magical portal opens in front of them, & Capt. Rafton knows the only way to save his ship is to take a leap of faith into the mysterious. “Ah, there be dragons!”
By doing this, the intrepid captain & his crew are transported into a another world, very different from their own. It is called Naruihm, & the first ship they come across, with Asian symbols on its sails, Rafe Rafton decides to attack. To his shock, the exceptional warriors aboard are all women. But this does not deter him for long, & soon he has overtaken them.
In Naruihm, there is a particular realm called Morevi which is being threatened by traitors hidden in the land itself. Askana, a strong & courageous woman is ruler of Morevi. She has fought hard & long to be crowned its “first queen.” But she has troubles early on. Her ships are being pillaged by the ruthless Capt. Rafton.
Out of desperation Askana is forced to make a deal with him, to help her defend Morevi against the neighboring country of Eyrie & its King Cedric who is determined to take Morevi for himself. Askana will do anything to save her throne, & despite the fact that Rafe Rafton represents all Askana despises, with his blatant disrespect toward women, his insincerity, & offensive behavior, there is simply no other way.
Together Askana & Rafe embark upon on what promises to be the biggest challenge in either of their lives, & as events unfold, the more they are drawn to each other. Will they be able to save Morevi? & at what price?
Morevi: The Chronicles Of Rafe and Askana is in its genre a very good read. If a mixture of history & fantasy is what you're craving, you will devour this book with its unexpected twists & turns.
The moment you open Morevi you will be drawn in by its good writing & compelling story. I recommend it.
When will the next adventure of Rafe & Askana appear?

The Netherlands is one of the smallest countries in Europe. Most people call the Netherlands Holland & it is about the size of Connecticut, but with a lot more people, sixteen million. You may think of tulips, chocolate, windmills & wooden shoes when you think of Holland. Although there are still lots of tulips & chocolate, & there are still some windmills, you wouldn't see many people wearing clogs today.
