The Lorrondon Saga Part 1. In 2441 an alien hunts down her mortal enemy. There is a feud in a family bearing the blood of two races & a galaxy comes to the brink of war.
Anna Helsak betrays her Neoran blood by making an alliance with old enemies & alienates her children in pursuit of a strange revenge.
To thwart Anna's purpose, Rusorin, once Anna's closest friend, seeks new allies & so events converge on the Free City of Bretton Katt, the center of learning & commerce, whose people will sacrifice everything to preserve a dream, everything but their freedom.
Senior Staff Reviewer D. H. BROWN writes:
I first became aware of Margaret Graham when Rebecca forwarded me an email asking me if I'd be interested in her book. I glanced at the publicity on the subject matter & thought, “What the hey, I'll give it a shot!”
Arriving home from the post office sometime later, Rebecca opened a package, walked by where I was reclining & dropped in my lap The Bretton Katt Alliance: The Lorondon Saga Part I -- Ooof, it was heavy!
Let me say right now, Margaret Graham can write! I don't know if she's ever written anything before. I'm telling you right now I want to read Part II! Is it great literature? No. Is it good science fiction with an eye for how we as a species act & will possibly continue to act? Absolutely!
I don't know what did not allow me to put down this 349 page book until I was finished except to say that every page ended by almost turning itself to the next!
Getting the characters all sorted out in the first 50 pages took some flipping back to try & figure out the relationships. Believe me this family is a mess, but one thing they've got going for them is they are a family & they are on track for their destinies.
This is another view of humans finding that we're not alone, & as Margaret Graham says in this book & I paraphrase, we really thought everyone we were going to meet would have horns, be purple; But they look just like us. What a surprise! Can I recommend The Bretton Katt Alliance as a good buy? Oh, definitely! Don't pass up a chance to read this new author's work.
So if you read this review, Margaret Graham, hurry up & finish part II & get it in the mail, I want to read it!
