The past is a refuge for a retired exotic meat collector where he can lose himself in rock'n'roll.

Until a blue android, a purple-eyed woman & a dog who is more than he appears to be interrupt Caffrey Quark's idyllic life.

Sr. Staff Reviewer D. H. BROWN writes:

When the author sent me his book, at first glance I was not impressed & so, much to my later chagrin, it sat in my reading pile for quite some time until my sense of duty overcame my reluctance & I picked it up & began to read.

Incredible!

To any science fiction fan that ever read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you will know exactly what I mean. Mike DiCerto went way out on a limb when he got the idea for Milky Way Marmalade & then decided because he was so far out, he might as well cut the limb off when he began writing.

The fact of the matter is, I couldn't lay it down until I was finished. & then I couldn't write a review for several weeks because I didn't know where to start, or finish, or say!

Incredible!

I'm assuming this is Mike DiCerto's first work, & I'm definitely hoping it's not his last.

The foreword review by Eternal Night states: “If you read and enjoyed Douglas Adams [& I have] but felt that it was a little too sane and well-grounded in reality, then you might find yourself in for a treat.”

What a bizarre, “way-out-there, man”, individual, incredible read!

I really think this book came into my view at just the right time as I had very little trouble finding meaning in its rock'n'roll aspects.

So if you're 50+ & have enjoyed a life of rock'n'roll, get ready for a meal every bit as poetic as Dylan ever could be.

If you're feeling a little bit too sane, stuck in the mud, stale & drab, go right out & buy yourself a copy of Milky Way Marmalade, because by the time you're done no longer will any of the preceding adjectives describe you.

First work, very unusual for me, it gets 4 teapots!
