A personal account of one woman's journey to enlightenment & self-discovery & her messages for the masses.
Associate Reviewer Rev. Marie D. Jones writes:
There are so many books on the market about the search for God, & many repeat the same messages over & over, in the same style, tone & general content. But The Simple Truth About God is a little different, & that difference makes for an enlightening & enjoyable read.
Author Christine Lenick describes herself as an everyday housewife & mother who had a drastic, life-altering experience involving a voice that told her of her true purpose on earth -- to be a messenger of the simple truth that God is within each & every one of us. Her whole world turned upside down as she began having experiences with the spirit world that she recounts with honesty & warmth in her book, offering advice from those who walk between two worlds. These intuited messages from children, old people, native elders, crime victims & men & women who have passed on, serve as wonderful wake-up calls to those of us still living & still seeking our purpose.
Much of what Christine Lenick talks about is joy, joy, & more joy, & the simple, yet profound ways we can lessen the noise & clutter of our lives in order to expand our capacity for love, joy, relationships, abundance & meaning. She tells us how she herself made this journey from outer pursuits to inner truth, & helps us along our path as we make said same discoveries. Also, she asks hard & important questions about spiritual truth, then offers us answers based upon her gleaned wisdom & understanding.
The Simple Truth About God is not a ground-breaking book. Rather, it is a spirit-lifting book that takes a subject matter many feel has been exhausted & presents it in a highly personal & insightful manner that succeeds at giving new wisdom just when we thought we knew it all. I truly enjoyed this book, & thought about its many messages of hope, love, true happiness & unity long after I closed the covers & set it down.
Christine Lenick's sincerity comes across the page like warm sunshine, embracing the reader & encouraging self-reflection & honesty. &, as the author continuously reminds us throughout this special book, in the end it's all about choices -- to be separate & suffer or to be joyful & at one with God.
The choice belongs to us.
