Dynamic Kabbalah
Gary Hanson
(Reviewer - Rev. Marie D. Jones)

2003 XLibris Corp.
ISBN: 1413402763

Your Cosmic Connection. Explains the astounding revelation that the necessity of a Messiah precedes the existence of the Universe.

The power of the Kabbalah can change your life, when you understand what it's all about.

Associate Reviewer Rev. Marie D. Jones writes:

I have read many books on the Kabbalah & found them to be plodding, hard to understand, & sometimes downright off the map. But Dynamic Kabbalah by Gary Hanson was a joy to read. The author presents the vast & mysterious world of Kabbalah in such a straight-forward & clear manner, I feel like I finally understand this amazing & ancient mystical spiritual system.

Hansen uses language that is not bogged in technical talk, religious overtones or historical statistics, but rather he just takes the system of Kabbalah one step at a time, & shows us the basic meaning behind each step, & how it can be applied to our modern day lives.

Each chapter covers one of the ten Sephiroth on the Tree of Life, which diagrams the path of the Kabbalah according to the Ancients. This powerful mystical version of Judaism is all the rage today, & this book will definitely excite & enthuse plenty of new readers into wanting to know much more. Also explained is the cosmology behind Kabbalah, & the vast levels of wisdom contained within this deceptively simple path to enlightenment.

I love the way the author ties in the qualities & characteristics of each Sephira along the Tree of Life, & then goes on to tell the reader how these same qualities can be enriched by further study. The one thing I wish the author had done, & perhaps is reserving for a follow-up book, is give more details as to what further study in the way of spiritual exercises the initiate can work on to make the Kabbalah more than just a thing to be studied, but a thing to be lived.

The Amazon.com price of $20.99 is a bit steep for this slim paperback, but I still think I got every penny's worth just in the sheer enthusiasm the author instilled in me to learn more about Kabbalah, now that I feel I've mastered the basics.

All in all, I highly recommend this fascinating and well-written book to anyone with an interest in Kabbalah & the amazing growth it can inspire.
