Greed & murder among CEOs of a construction company.
Bob King is a self-made billionaire who parlayed a rusty backhoe into the 27th spot on Forbes' list. His corporation instills greed & competition, especially between his son Scott & his two best friends, Thane & Ben, as they jockey to take over the company's crown.
Bob, however, has other ideas & sets in place a massive public offering that will make him CEO for life, thus quashing everyone's hopes for the gold ring. That's when the wives get going, goading their husbands into murder. & when Ben decides to investigate -- well, even old friendships can't stop the killing.

Remember the Lee Marvin-Charles Bronson flick Death Hunt? Remember the tension you felt during the chase, the suspense & the chill? Well, Kingdom Come, by this attorney-turned-superstar novelist has all that -- & much more besides.
Tim Green has two passions -- the law & football. He was an ace at both the game & the profession, & he has put this experience to great use in The Letter of the Law (legal), The Dark Side of the Game (football) & in Outlaws (a lawyer defending a football player accused of murder). So when I picked up his latest thriller, I was expecting something along these lines.
Kingdom Come is, however, a complete turnaround. True there are legal elements, & true there's also some football action -- but this ain't a game thriller or a legal thriller. What it is, is a “pucca” chase novel -- “of a bad guy following a good guy following a bad guy”; where two ordinary people (a complete American couple) get trapped in an imbroglio that gets them into trouble with the FBI, the Mafia & other assorted baddies.
The suspense, as I've said, is spine chilling & the terror bone shaking. & after the minor disappointment of The Fourth Perimeter, Tim Green is back with a bang!, proving that he truly is a king of the suspense thriller.
Kingdom Come is a guaranteed good read, though the violence is a tad hefty, so I caution the milder-hearted reader. It would be made a super hit movie. Quentin Tarantino – have you read it yet?
