A journey into adventure, mystery & intrigue. A daring mission to uncover the truth, for both spiritual need & to avenge a friend's murder.
Guest Reviewer Sharon Levine writes:
CIA agent, Dave Marsupial, accepts the challenge of leaving the cushy confines of his position in America to search for adventure inspired by the guidance of an inner voice of spiritual wisdom. In his quest he defeats an enemy that had spread his tentacles into America, operating a secret ring with members who are criminal & greedy.
In his journey Dave Marsupial reveals both his tough as well as tender character, depending on who he is dealing with. His kinship with the feelings of women he can't disappoint & enemies he can't forgive, make him a real ladies man & a true warrior. His emotional side & sincerity in approaching the fair sex is Bondian with an American twist.
This is an interesting story--fast paced & exotic in its setting. Perhaps, it should have attempted more at being a little less predictable. Overall though, it kept me absorbed with episodes & characters that are plausible & interesting.
The dealings of the hero in his tender-hearted & understanding approach with women is a strong plus. To find a CIA agent of this type who does not reek with macho conceit is likely, though not a certainty.
The depiction of the Bollywood heroine in India, Kathy the all-American genteel girl, & flirtatious Maria, the young wife of the old boss, reveal three different women with extremely different characters & backgrounds, who are sketched in a bold & realistic manner.
Continental Divide is Naveed Burney's debut novel. I would certainly make a point of reading his next.
