I Hope You Dance
Mark D. Sanders & Tia Sillers
(Reviewed by The Editor - Rebecca Brown)
2000 Rutledge Hill Press, Nashville TN
ISBN: 1558538445

This song sung by Lee Ann Womack set to a book & CD with lyrics & additional inspirational texts & photographs.
This is my first review of a book inspired by a song & I recommend it to anybody wanting the perfect gift.
Lee Ann Womack writes in her introduction: “I had nothing to do with the writing of this song or this book...Mark & Tia...are masters of their craft & I consider myself truly blessed to have been the vehicle to bring their song to so many millions of people...”
I Hope You Dance is filled with words of wonder & thoughtful photos. The song touched my heart when I first heard it, reminding me how much I liked to dance - when I'm glad as much as when I sorry.
“What does it take to hope?” Gentle teasing thoughts to refresh your stale heart.
“I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean” - why I live near the sea & wander along its shores so happily.
“Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance” no matter which & no matter how - let faith guide your footsteps.
“Loving might be a mistake, but it's worth making” forgiving & letting go & making sure you “don't let some hell-bent heart leave you bitter.”
For both youngsters & oldsters & everybody in between, I Hope You Dance, is a soulful song, kindly given & beautifully presented.
Promise me you'll give I Hope You Dance a chance - it's a perfect gift for graduation, for somebody about to set out for fields afar, for anybody who loves to love for in the giving, you will have song, love & laughter in your heart.
What joy it has brought to our lives!
