Lift Yourself from Back Pain Without Drugs or Surgery.

Most people with chronic lower back pain have “Pelvic Tilt Syndrome” which is easy to recognize & simple & inexpensive to treat -- even if the pain has been going on for years.

In The Humpty-Dumpty Syndrome Harry S. Oxenhandler, M.D., Dipl.Ac.NCCAOM, sets out to explain what ails so many of us. As an ardent patient of chiropracty I have already come across my “Pelvic Tilt Syndrome” & no, it has nothing to do with the giddy dance from The Rocky Horror Show -- which, incidentally I adored!

I used to wonder why one of my legs kept feeling shorter than the other & why I could find no relief other than dosing myself into oblivion with pain pills -- well, laid out on my chiropractor's table -- which is a fantastic place to feel & listen to your skeleton settle or spring back into place -- that leg indeed was shorter. By the time my doc had “knicked & cricked” me not only were my legs even, I felt remarkably refreshed -- my hearing cleared up, my sight improved & I simply felt my joie de vivre return. I'm crazy for chiropracty!

Some of Doc Oxenhandler's chapters are:
• Who is This Guy, Anyway? in which he tells his story of how he came to the gentle healing art of chiropracty.
• The Humpty Dumpty Syndrome in which he describes symptoms & such.
• Look Beyond Your Diagnosis.
• What Then is the Problem?
• The Failed Lower Back Syndrome
• Pelvic Tilt/Short Leg Syndrom
& so forth through:
• What is the Cause of a Pelvic Tilt
• Prescribing the Lift
• Introduction to Stretching Exercises & on.

Complete with x-rays & case histories -- this is a good primer & teaching book as well as an introduction for the patient.

I like Harry Oxenhandler's way of writing (I also like his name!) -- telling it like it is with dashes of humor & understandable. If you are plagued by lower back problems & know there's something other than drugs & scalpels -- I urge you to pick up a copy of The Humpty-Dumpty Syndrome -- it will lead you along a gentler path to healing!

Very well done, much needed & I hope it becomes a best seller!
