Three Deep Breaths to Peace of Mind. Stress can shoot up blood pressure to dangerous levels, push the pulse rate high above normal, & stop breathing cold.
Associate Student Reviewer Karrie G. writes:
How To Calm Down is for anyone who, like so many others, is terribly stressed out & has no idea what to do about it. Maybe work is getting you down. Maybe you've just had an argument with your partner. Maybe school work is unrelenting. Maybe you simply can't relax & enjoy the moment. Everyone gets this way sometimes, the question is: how do you let off steam? Fred Miller provides the reader with a host of possible answers to that question.
The author doesn't instruct you what to do, & he doesn't presume to know what will work for each individual reader. Instead, he offers a variety of techniques that allow you to relax & calm down. Some I had heard of & was familiar with, but most of How To Calm Down was completely new to me. I tried some of them, not really expecting them to work. Was I surprised! One of the first nearly made me doze off, I was so relaxed!
Also included in How To Calm Down are some of the author's own experiences with stress. These are comforting. After all, would you want to take someone's advice who has never actually taken it himself?
The book reads as easily as listening to advice from someone you know & like. The way its written makes you feel as though you're attending a seminar or sitting in a classroom. Just relax, close your eyes, take three deep breaths, & order this book!
I recommend How To Calm Down to anyone who has trouble relaxing, it sure worked for me!

The Netherlands is one of the smallest countries in Europe. Most people call the Netherlands Holland & it is about the size of Connecticut, but with a lot more people, sixteen million. You may think of tulips, chocolate, windmills & wooden shoes when you think of Holland. Although there are still lots of tulips & chocolate, & there are still some windmills, you wouldn't see many people wearing clogs today.
