Vanishing Thoughts--Causes and Remedies. Advancing memory function for all age groups.

If you have ever:
Forgotten where you put your keys.
Misplaced a thought in the middle of a sentence.
Lost a word that was on the tip of your tongue.
Drawn a blank on your best friend's name.
Wondered if something you were eating or any of the drugs you were taking might affect the way your remember--then this basic book will help you identify some of the causes.

Overcoming Senior Moments is a storehouse of simplified information about how our brain works, what keeps it healthy & what stifles its abilities.

We are given the “nitty-gritty” on brain health & seeing as how our brains are 75% water, it follows we need to refill it. Thus the ubiquitous 8 daily glasses of H20.

There is also a list of Rx & OTC medications known to promote forgetfulness. I was rather glad to see one I'd been taking for 3 years during which time I had noticed a marked loss of memory function, that's why I insisted my health practitioner get me off it...only to put me on another with the same result! There's a whole section on what supplements have been discovered to aid in keeping our brains well.

I'm not keen on being told that Alzheimer's Disease is in everyone's future, especially if we don't take care of what's inside our noggins, & while these authors don't actually come right out & say it, it's implied.

What's missing is all the things we can be doing all through our lives to keep our brain working, to exercise it: crossword puzzles & jigsaw puzzles, writing, reading & drawing, learning something new, singing or playing musical instruments, doing mathematics for the fun of it, yeah! My feelings exactly!

Overcoming Senior Moments is useful primer for those who haven't started to think about the health of their brain.
