Smudge Bunny
Dr. Bernie Siegel
(Reviewer - Rebecca Brown)
2004 Starseed Press
ISBN: 1932073035
The true story of a beloved pet rabbit & her journey to reach home & family.
In recounting her adventures, Smudge comes to realize that sometimes the paths in life that look like detours are really just different ways to get to where she was meant to be all along.
Written for 4-8 year-olds, & exquisitely illustrated by Laura J. Bryant, Smudge Bunny is warm & playful, teaching the true spirit of kinship between people & their pets.
I am always thrilled when I come upon books written by people I know. For a while, Bernie & I frequented the same alternative health conferences, enjoyed each other's company & the stories we shared. In Smudge Bunny, Bernie offers an endearing, lasting tale about a rabbit who got lost. It will chase away the dark shadows & bring courage & joy to the Reader.
Dr. Siegel, who prefers to be called Bernie, was born in Brooklyn, New York. In 1978 he originated Exceptional Cancer Patients, a specific form of individual & group therapy utilizing patients' drawings, dreams, images & feelings. Smudge Bunny is Bernie's first children's book.
