It's almost time for Christmas in Woodcock Pocket & Puddle is getting ready to bake the cake & decorate. Meanwhile Toot is coming home from a family reunion & a huge snow storm is brewing.
Here come Toot & Puddle again! My two favorite piglets are in the mood for the Holidays.
Toot, of course, has flown the coop & sent a postcard to his best friend. This time Toot has landed in Scotland at a grand family reunion where he meets his Great-great Aunt Peg who gives him a special gift. After carolling in the snow, Toot has to fly home to be with Puddle for Christmas.
Puddle, naturally, is at home making lists & checking the calendar; unraveling Christmas lights & making paper chains; baking cakes & bringing in the tree. He is happy & busy, he just wishes his best friend was already home.
Toot arrives late on Christmas Eve in Boston during a humongous snow storm & sets out on foot for Woodcock Pocket.
Puddle basks in the Holiday glow at home & worries about his friend.
Toot, deep in snow, sits down for a rest. In that cold dark night with the snow whirling all about he hears the jingle of sleigh bells & rescue is at hand.
Another wonderful winner from Holly Hobbie about the quality of friendship & the thrill of both home life & worldwide adventure -- I'll Be Home for Christmas is destined to be read & reread each Holiday Season!
A lovely read & Holly's pictures are, as always, a delight!
